The Full Story

About

White Hotel 's history goes back to the band Diamondog, which disbanded in 2016 after having existed since 1998, with several releases and an extensive concert activity nationally and internationally. Morten Husvik, Frode Heiestad, and Franck Bjaanes, former members of Diamondog, wanted to explore new musical directions, which led to the creation of White Hotel. Through an exploratory process of testing, writing, trial and error, the project begins to take shape.

Various musicians were tried out, and in the end Torbjørn Enget was chosen as guitarist, who proved to be the missing link for the band. The interaction between Torbjørn and Morten, combined with the established musical chemistry between Franck and Frode, gives the band a powerful dynamic. The music style remains within the rock genre, but with a modern touch.

Currently, the band is working on the final details in the studio, and three of the songs are expected to be released before the New Year, while the rest will be released early in the New Year. The album, or project, is mixed by Johannes Groth, and the band is very satisfied with the musical expression they have landed on. The collaboration with Kristian Sæland, an extremely skilled keyboardist, has also been decisive in shaping the desired musical expression.
